- POLISH-NIGERIAN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION
Polish-Nigerian Business Association was established in 2010. It is an organisation aimed at promotion and strengthening of Polish-Nigerian business relations, focusing in particular on B2B level. Among the founding members of the Association there are businessmen and experts who have extensive practical experience of business operations in Nigeria. Currently the Association is chaired by the former Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Federal Republic of Nigeria (2002-2008), Dr. Grzegorz WaliĆski.
The Association offers variety of consultancy services to Polish and Nigerian companies wishing to search for business partners in Poland and Nigeria, including the expertise in verification of business documents, counselling on business opportunities and practices as well as liaising between the companies.
Although the primary target of the Association are private sectors in both countries, it also played active part in the organisation of the visit of Honourable Minister of Energy, H.E. Arc. Nuhu Somo Wya to Poland in March 2011, during which he met captains of Polish energy sector and attended the International Power Industry Fair ENEX in Kielce and took part in the seminar on new technologies for energy generation at the University of Science and Technology in Cracow.
The Association is involved in academic cooperation, supporting the elaboration of Polish-Nigerian academic exchange schemes and taking part in organisation of academic conferences. Besides of the mentioned seminar in Cracow, the Association co-organised the international conference on the evolution of African states and societies, hosted by the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, 17-18 May, 2011.
Its involvement in the organisation of the Polish Edu-Fair in Abuja is therefore a logical continuation of its efforts in the field of cooperation in the domains of science and higher education between Poland and Nigeria.
